Happy Birthday Ronald!

Last week was Daddy's birthday. I was very happy to be able to spend the day with him...and even better, with his twin sister--Aunt Rochelle. We went down to the beach and had so much fun! We all (Mom, Lauren, Me, Aunt Rochelle and Uncle Wes) took the bikes down to Newport. It was a perfect day--sunshine and a slight breeze. So we rode down to the Wedge (a spot in Newport where the waves hit huge). Dad and I got in the water and did some body surfing. The water was great. Except for the part when I was trying to get out of the water the waves just did not want me to get out and kept sucking me back in. Don't worry though, I eventually won the battle; maybe salt water halfway down my throat and sand on every square-inch of my body... but I still made it out. Then Dad and I went down to the shops and got Balboa Bars. Then we headed back and got ready for dinner. We went out with Rochelle and Wes, Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunt Jung-Mee at Black Angus. Super yummy! July 30 was great.

Since I have your attention let me tell you a bit about my Dad.

Ronald Mark--what a guy! I don't even know where to begin. I have always had such a strong connection with my Dad. We are so similar in so many ways, which can be good and bad. Lol (maybe sometimes we will but heads) We are able to understand each other on so many levels. Ever since I can remember, Dad and I have always been able relate. We always find time to do things together. Evening walks, hikes, eating ice cream before bed, watching surf movies, playing board games, going to the gym, riding bikes, taking the train together on adventures, etc. I have many special memories with him.

Ron is
GIVING
CARING
ENERGETIC
YOUNG
LOVING
FUNNY
STRONG
TALENTED
OUTGOING
PROTECTIVE
COOL

(and these are only some of the many qualities he possesses)

Sometimes I have no idea how he did it/dose it. Living with and raising 3 girls. One word. Drama. hahaha All I know is that no one can do it better then him. He is a trooper.

He truly is my best friend. I always go to him for advice and guidance. He is a kind of guy that is able to be everyone's best friend (I get that from him). He is such a hard worker. Ever since I can remember, my Dad has always been willing to work. Weather it's his career kind of work (train engineer--yes that's right, my Dad drives trains...pretty much the coolest job EVER), or doing work for others. Ron is always giving service. He is so diligent in helping others.  I always see him doing what he is asked with a full heart. I am so thankful for the priesthood that he holds. The biggest thing that stands out to me is that he is always willing and asking to give us blessings. Those are some of the most precious memories I have with him. And I have learned the importance of having the priesthood on the earth today, from him by way of example. He has always been so dedicated about having family scripture study and family prayer in the home. I hope that my children will have a father just as amazing as mine. He has given me so much and I am truly thankful for that. He has given me his time, concern, knowledge, looks, and most of all love.

Once upon a time, Ron went to a Daddy daughter Disney themed young women's activity and let us dress him up as Tinker Bell; Danielle was a Pirate and I was Peter Pan. HA!

I can specificallly remember taking this picture...I had a loose tooth and he had just pulled it out for me. Hence the teary eyes and no smile.
