This year I finally was able to understand the concept of 'home for the holidays'. I have always been home and its something I have taken for granted. Working full time was a different experience for me this year. I had work Christmas Eve morning/afternoon, so I had a flight home that evening. Then had two days off so it was a quick trip, but still so great to be with my family! I made it home safely to my family. They told me Dad was coming to pick me up but they surprised me and all five of them were there at the airport! It was great to have such a warm welcome :) and it literally was a warm welcome, 65 degrees compared to 20 was the best! Christmas Eve we exchanged all our family gifts and then Santa came Christmas morning! Dad had to go to work Christmas Day so Lauren and Mom and I spent time together at home for the day then Danielle and Joel came over for dinner. (We made Joel watch the Sound of Music, and I think he secretly loved it ;) ) Then the next two days I spent time with the family and caught up with some friends at home. Overall I had a great Christmas and I am so thankful I was able to make it back to Rocklin. And I do have to say, even though I was loving to be at home-- the only reason I was looking forward to going back to Provo was because I was missing Sam :)
The weekend before Christmas, everyone was already home except Me and Ingrid. So we called up Garrett and went to the movies to see Saving Mr. Banks, which I highly recommend! It was such a cute movie, love it!
Sam at home playing around with his niece Ruby.
Merry Christmas from The Byers!
Opening gifts with the fam.
Sam sent me flowers at home 😊 I was very surprised and very flattered. He's always thinking of me
We went to a beautiful wedding reception on Thursday evening.
Danielley got a waffle come maker so we went over to thier house the night after Christmas and had ice cream cones.
My best friend Abby came with me, Lauren and her friend Hayley to IKEA to find some new things for Lauren's room. (Well it's actually MY room, but I let her move into it while I'm not there)
It was great seeing my two best friends and catching up with them!
Hope you all had a great holiday and enjoyed spending time with your loved ones! Have a great New Year and hope you all get that midnight kiss ;)
