I love to see the Temple

This sunday, during third hour I was able to help out in primary with the little children. During "music time" they were learning the song 'I Love to See the Temple.' As I sat there and sang the song with them, I couldn't help but get emotional thinking about and listening to the lyrics of the song in. They pertain so much to me and this time in my life. Let me review with you the lyrics to the song:

With all the preparation I have had in getting easy to be married to Sam in the temple, this has been one of the mod touching experiences. Sitting there and singing the song helped me realize the simplicity of it all. I have grown up a member of the church. So when I was a little girl, I was one of those children in primary learning the lyrics to this same song. Let me dissect the song for you here...

 Lines 1-4: I have gone to the temple since I turned 12 to do baptisms for the dead and every time I am there I FEEL THE HOLY SPIRTIT. I am able to PRAY to my Heavenly Father and feel at peace with the things that are going on in my life.

 Lines 5-8: The temple really is a place on LOVE and BEAUTY. All the temples have so much beauty to them inside and out. Everytime I am there I am amazed at the detailing on the buildings and the beautiful flowers and landscaping around them. And it is my SACRED DUTY to go there and take part in the ordinances that are performed inside.

 Lines 9-10: I am GOING INSIDE with Sam in a few weeks to be sealed. Meaning that we are going to be eternally linked together; not only for this life but for the life to follow. Together for eternity. I am so excited for that! 

 Lines 11-12: In the temple we make COVENANTS. A covenant is a promise. God sets specific covenants and He promises that we will be blessed if keep those. I will make PROMISES to God and Sam when I am in there to obey. 

Lines 13-14: The temple is such a HOLY PLACE. It is where I feel closest to God, Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost. There we will be SEALED for time and all of eternity. What a beautiful thing. This has been the best decision I have ever made in my life up to this point. I can't see myself being with anyone else for eternity then my best friend, Sam. 

Lines 15-16: As a CHILD I grew up learning these principles and never really understood the importance about them till I was older. Being there in the primary room put everything into perspective and helped me understand what a blessing it has been for me to be raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My FAMILY IS FOREVER. I am sealed to my parents and sisters and now I will be sealed to Sam where we can begin our eternity. 

I am so grateful for the beautiful temples that we have on this earth today. I am looking forward so much to July 19, when Sam will take me to the Sacramento Temple to be sealed!
