Our Engagement 3.1.14

It's finally here! Sam and I are getting married!!! I am the happiest girl alive! I wouldn't have it any other way! Sam is my everything. I love him with all of my heart and I am so so excited to be his wife! 

So of course, I'm sure you're all asking how he did it. Well it was just all that I've ever dreamed of.

We were down in Southern California visiting his family for the week to take a little vacation and get out of the cold weather in Utah. So our last day there was planned to be a beach day. I was so looking forward to it! We got down to Newport and had lunch at my favorite seafood place, The Crab Cooker. Went down and walked on the pier and had fun watching all the surfers (wishing we were out there with them). Then we went over to Balboa Island and walked around the shops on the main street. We made it down to where the docks, sailboats and beaches are. We were exploring, looking and picking out shells. He called me over and said 'Oh, Marissa! Come look at this one, it's really cool!' So I went over to find a diamond ring in the shell he was showing me! He got on his knee and told me how much he loves me and that he wants me to be his wife and asked me to marry him. With the biggest smile on my face, I said 'Yes!' So after the hugging, kissing and I love yous were over, we headed back and got some Balboa Bars to celebrate. (My favorite treat to get in Newport) 

I am looking forward to this summer like nothing before! Sam is my bud and am so excited to be with him for eternity. I can't wait! July 19th can't come any sooner!
